Zimbabwe and India negotiate cooperation in the training sector
Countries start exchanging students and educational technology
Zimbabwe and India are set to strengthen cooperation in education. This is reported by
ZBC News, a partner of TV BRICS.
The countries have agreed to exchange experience and train specialists. India has offered scholarships and places in its best universities for Zimbabwean students and teachers.
Fanuel Tagwira, Zimbabwean Permanent Secretary for Higher and Tertiary Education, says the partnership is very important for his country. India is known for its quality education that focusses on practical skills and entrepreneurial thinking. This is entirely in line with Zimbabwe’s goals of creating their own jobs.
This collaboration is expected to materialise soon. Zimbabwe is already beginning to select candidates to study in India. In the long run, this will help the country to produce skilled professionals who will contribute to its economic growth.
