Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to attend the BRICS summit in Kazan. The Middle Eastern head of state accepted the invitation.

“Bahrain is now the chairman of the Arab League (LAS). And our president has invited the king to attend the BRICS summit in Kazan in October as chairman of the LAS. This invitation appears to have been accepted”

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain arrived in Moscow on 22 May at the invitation of Vladimir Putin. The leaders are scheduled to sign joint documents following the talks. This is Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s third visit to Moscow since 2008.

The BRICS summit will be held in the capital of Tatarstan from 22 to 24 October. The summit will be the main event of Russia’s presidency in the association. It will bring together many leaders of the BRICS countries and partner states.
