Chinese President emphasised the strategic value of Russia-China ties
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a telephone conversation on 24 February. The leaders discussed international issues and bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Beijing. This is reported by the official

It is noted that the parties considered ways to expand cooperation in the field of economy and trade, investment, culture, education, and sports. They also confirmed the schedule of meetings due to the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), the celebration in the Russian capital of the The 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and other events.
The Russian President noted that the Russian-Chinese foreign policy nexus represents the most important stabilising factor in world affairs.

Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS, Xi Jinping also emphasised that Russia-China ties have a powerful driving force and unique strategic value. According to him, the strategy for developing bilateral cooperation is designed for a long-term perspective.
The last time the leaders of Russia and China
communicated was on 21 January. At that time, the parties summarised the results of work over the past year and outlined new plans for the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation via video link. Putin thanked his Chinese counterpart for supporting Russia’s BRICS presidency, and Xi Jinping declared Beijing’s readiness to take relations with Moscow to a higher level.
