Vladimir Putin and Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud discuss the recent BRICS summit
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud held a telephone conversation on 13 November at the initiative of the kingdom. This is reported by the official
website of the Russian President.
The parties exchanged views in the context of the BRICS summit held in Kazan in October. In addition, Putin and Al Saud noted the importance of continuing coordination between the two states within the framework of OPEC+, confirming the effectiveness of steps taken in this format to maintain stability in the global energy market.
Speaking about bilateral relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia, the Russian leader and the kingdom’s Crown Prince expressed satisfaction with the current level of mutually beneficial ties. They also reaffirmed readiness to further strengthen cooperation in political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.
The BRICS summit was held on 22-24 October. Following the meeting of the representatives of the group’s member states in the narrow and enlarged compositions, the leaders of the group’s states adopted the final Kazan Declaration.
