Venezuela’s Vice President arrives in India to strengthen bilateral relations

Caracas and New Delhi have made significant progress in strengthening bilateral relations

Venezuela’s Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez arrived in New Delhi to strengthen cooperation with India. This is reported by teleSUR, a partner of TV BRICS.

Rodriguez announced this on his social networks, where she said: “We have come to the great India to strengthen our bonds of friendship and cooperation with this brotherly country”.

After her arrival, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared a post in social media, “Warm welcome to Executive Vice President of Venezuela as she arrives in India on a working visit. Her visit will provide an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral ties.”

Then, Executive Vice President of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez met India’s Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar at Upa-Rashtrapati Nivas. Both officials discussed strengthening the cordial relations between India and Venezuela and further bolstering the trade, economic and people-to-people partnership between the two nations. 

Rodriguez arrived in the Asian country from Russia, where she attended the BRICS summit in Kazan accompanied by President Nicolas Maduro.
