uMkhonto weSizwe Party warns members against ‘parallel structures’

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has lamented what it has termed “parallel structures” within the organisation.

The party was holding a press briefing  in Sandton, Johannesburg, on the outcomes of its National High Command meeting.

It has cautioned structures within the organisation to abide by the decisions of higher structures.

The party’s National Organiser, Floyd Shivambu addressed the media.

“There are several parallel structures and leadership positions at all levels of the organisation. Such will come to an absolute end once the leadership has been announced at all levels. We will not tolerate insubordination and will isolate elements that seek to destabilise our movement.”

The party has recently welcomed new members, including high profile leaders, within its ranks.

“We call on all members of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party who joined first to avoid and stay away from the demons of gatekeeping and factionalism. There will be several members and leaders who join the uMkhonto weSizwe Party and will be assigned leadership responsibilities at all levels. We command all structures to abide by the decisions of upper structures,” adds Shivambu.
