UAE wins 44 medals at Sharjah International Para Athletics Championship
UAE para-athletes claimed 13 gold, 16 silver, and 15 bronze medals across various events
The 13th edition of the Sharjah International Para Athletics Championship concluded with a strong performance from the UAE athletes, who secured a total of 44 medals. The tournament, organised under the patronage of Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, brought together 181 competitors from around the world.

Among the standout performances, the Sharjah-based club secured 14 medals, including five golds, four silvers, and five bronzes, while the Khorfakkan-based club earned eight medals, featuring three golds, four silvers, and one bronze.
Athletes from the Dubai-based club achieved seven podium finishes, winning two gold, two silver, and three bronze medals. Meanwhile, the Al Ain-based club secured six medals, comprising two golds, two silvers, and two bronzes.
Abu Dhabi’s para-athletes collected four medals, including three silver and one bronze, while competitors from Al Dhafra, Ajman, and other regional clubs also contributed to the UAE’s medal tally.
