UAE University announces funding for Summer Research Programme
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has announced funding for a Summer Undergraduate Research Programme aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills to meet the demands of the future job market. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
Ahmed Murad, professor at UAEU, said the funding will cover 189 research projects involving 803 students from various colleges and disciplines. Among them, 34 projects will be implemented in the Faculty of Natural Sciences, 42 in the Faculty of Engineering, 34 in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, nine in the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, 24 in the Faculty of Information Technology, 15 in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, 17 in the Faculty of Management and Economics, 13 projects in the Faculty of Education and one project in the Faculty of Law.
Murad added that the funded projects cover a wide range of academic and scientific fields, including natural sciences, engineering, technology, medicine, social sciences and humanities.
The financial support includes covering research costs, necessary materials, research tools and technologies used, as well as providing a favourable environment for students to conduct research.
