The facility aims to achieve the highest level of digital security

The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) has inaugurated a Cyber Defence Centre designed to strengthen information security and protect the department’s digital infrastructure and critical assets. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The Centre, which was launched in test mode in 2023, has officially announced its objectives: to provide the highest level of digital security and establish a robust cyber system for all departments in Sharjah.

The source claims that the Centre has state-of-the-art technology and a team of experts ready to confront cyber threats, monitor and analyse them in real time, and provide the necessary support to respond effectively.

Additionally, the facility will train national cyber security professionals.

The opening of the Cyber Defence Centre underscores the UAE’s commitment to ensuring security in the digital environment and creating a robust environment for the development of information technology.
