UAE introduces service for women and kids to receive therapy with animals
Traditional psychotherapy sessions can be enhanced by the use of animals in the course of care
The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) working to achieve Dubai Social Agenda 33 with the subject “Family: The Foundation of Our Nation,” has begun the second phase of its animal-assisted therapy programme. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
Workshops with horses and animals with certified therapists and licensed professional counsellors are part of the plan.
Thirty service providers and professionals working in the field of social home care for women and children were the target audience for the training.
Experts guarantee that this ground-breaking programme not only demonstrates the foundation’s dedication to cutting-edge, integrated medical and psychological treatments but also makes a major positive impact on the lives of the people it supports by enhancing their well-being and quality of life.
