UAE authorities approve housing benefits for more than 1,500 Abu Dhabi residents

They will be provided with loans, ready-made houses and land subsidies

UAE authorities have approved the payment of the first package of housing benefits to Abu Dhabi residents in 2024. A total of AED2,18 billion (US$593,5 million) has been allocated for these benefits, which will go to 1,502 citizens of the emirate. This is reported by
Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

Loans, completed houses and land subsidies for residential properties will be distributed among the recipients. In addition, 95 residents of the emirate, including the elderly, low-income pensioners and those who have recently had a relative die, have been exempted from mortgage loan repayments totalling more than AED98 million (US$26,68 million).

The distribution of the first package of housing benefits this year coincides with the upcoming Eid Al Fitr. The publication notes that the total amount paid out since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has exceeded AED149 billion (US$40,96 billion).
