The Honest View Media Award, an international competition of information projects for foreign media, was held in Moscow.

The jury evaluated more than 250 materials, of which 30 candidates were shortlisted. The international network’s media partner from Brazil, editor-in-chief of the
Toda Palavra portal, Luiz Augusto de Freitas Erthal, became a finalist in the international competition in the category “Development of territories”, submitting a piece in which he shared his impressions of Siberia: Sibéria, um lugar onde tudo é grandioso, épico e absoluto (“Siberia is a huge, majestic, unique land”).

“Toda Palavra’s participation in the Honest View Media Award is in line with our editorial policy. I believe that we, as journalists, need to create diverse content in line with the policy of multipolarity. After all, this concept is supported by all BRICS countries. <…> I am happy that one of my articles was shortlisted for the competition. <…> And I am very happy to partner with TV BRICS, thanks to which we learnt about this competition. We are moving in the same direction,” said the journalist.

BRICS Global Media Tour. Russian Edition, organised this summer by the the BRICS-Media Association in cooperation with TV BRICS with grant support from the Gorchakov Foundation. The tour was attended by heads of editorial offices of the leading BRICS and African media, who were able to see not only the capital of Russia, but also visit the regions and learn about the tourist potential of the Russian Federation. The centrepiece of the tour was the delegation’s visit to the ceremony of announcing the names of laureates of the Global Energy Prize 2023 in Kemerovo. This is an international event initiated and organised by Russia for many years at a high level.

The editor-in-chief of Toda Palavra was delighted with the The Chernigovsky open pit coal mine: “A visit to Chernigovsky, one of the large coal mines in Siberia, showed how environmentally conscious the Russian mining industry is. For example, the ore here is processed in such a way that contaminated waste is not discharged into rivers. For this purpose, all the water used to process the coal is reused in the production process itself.”

The Second International Media Award for Foreign Media “Honest View” gathered the works of 250 journalists from 51 countries. It should be noted that the Grand Prix of the competition was won by Ricardo Sanchez Serra, a nominee from Peru.
