There is good stability in the GNU so far: Lamola

South Africa has been under Government of National Unity (GNU) rule for 100 days.

Looking at the past three months of the GNU, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ronald Lamola says the journey has had its highs and lows, however, they have received positive sentiments from international community.

ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to reflect on the 100 days of the GNU next Monday.

Lamola says there is good stability in the GNU so far as they speak in one voice.

He says their stance on the issues in the Middle East is still a work in progress.

” We have arrived with very good sentiments from the international community. Looking at how SA has held its last elections, how all parties agreed to form a Government of National Unity is seen as an example of democracy across the globe and this could further bring positive sentiments even in terms of investment into the country. We all agree that all our positions in this regard are foregrounded on the national interest document of the SA government and the constitution which is what brings all of us together.”
