She highlighted the importance of effectively utilizing resources to fulfill everyone’s energy and other requirements in an environmentally friendly manner.
The President Droupadi Murmu urged for proactive energy efficiency and the greater adoption of renewable energy sources in the 21st century. She stressed the necessity of boosting energy generation through the establishments of wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants.
She also underscored the significance of maximizing energy outputs from limited resources while employing the “triple bottom line” principle to ensure sustainability, where any business should not only confer economic advantages but also environmental and social benefits.
During her speach, she expressed her confidence in the efficacy of the green credit initiative, which encourages sustainable practices aligned with the nation’s traditions, in accomplishing clean energy and environmental objectives.
National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated on 14 December every year to promote the importance of energy conservation and showcase the country’s achievements in energy efficiency.
