The country is focused on doubling its exports by 2035

90 per cent of Tunisia’s exports come from its industrial sector, which is made up of 4,702 businesses with 534,000 employees, according to Tunisian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy Fatma Thabet. This is reported by
Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP), a partner of TV BRICS.

Speaking at the eighth “Tunisia Economic Forum”, which focused on the topic “Tunisian Industry: Modernization and Recovery”, Thabet emphasised the sector’s significance in bolstering Tunisia’s standing internationally.

The source states that a number of industries, including apparel and textiles, agro-food, aviation, and automotive components, have made these indicators feasible.

Fatma Thabet emphasised that in order to accomplish an energy transition, Tunisia is creating renewable energy, enticing business owners to generate electricity from renewable sources on their own, making environmental investments, and regulating energy use.

By 2035, the nation wants to increase its exports and make it easier for goods to enter new international markets, according to officials.
