Saudi Minister of Environment: Kingdom works to strengthen its collaborative global role in addressing the Sustainable Development Goals
He was speaking at an international conference on water resources in Tajikistan
The Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley noted that the country has made significant progress in increasing desalinated water production, expanding water reserves and improving the water transmission system.
It also emphasised the high level of wastewater treatment and reuse, which has helped reduce the use of non-renewable water resources. This is reported by
Saudi Press Agency (SPA), a partner of TV BRICS.
At an international conference on water resources in Tajikistan, the minister emphasised the government’s efforts to increase the sustainability of water resources and implement the national water strategy. Saudi Arabia is also providing support to other countries worth more than US$6 billion.
It is planned that the results of the conference will support the activities of the World Water Forum, the eleventh session of which is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
