Scholars from the Jazan University in Saudi Arabia have taken a significant step in the development of indigenous coffee. They have been granted patents for four new varieties of Saudi coffee that were developed through natural mutation of coffee plants.

The new varieties, named Jazan Light, Jazan Premium, JU2030, and Jazan Mocha, were found in four different locations. This is reported by
Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

This achievement highlights the scientific potential of local researchers who have put a lot of effort and innovation into this research.
