Saudi Arabia to host space tourism trials soon

Saudi Arabia will soon have the opportunity to make a tourist flight into space. This is reported by
Arab News with reference to the СEO of the Saudi Space Agency Mohammed Al-Tamimi.
“Within a window of 60 days from now, there will be an announcement to do some trials here in Saudi Arabia about space tourism,” the official said at the Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh.
Al-Tamimi predicts a significant increase in the number of satellite launches by the Kingdom.
Earlier, Saudi authorities launched an educational programme aimed at developing national capabilities in the space sector. The Kingdom inaugurated its space programme in 2022 and sent astronauts Ali Alqarni, Rayyanah Barnawi to the ISS in 2023.
