The official opening of the the VII BRICS+ countries Drama school festival will take place in Moscow at VDNKh on 1 June. This year the event will be attended by young people from China, Russia, Iran, India, South Africa, UAE and Belarus. They will show their theatre productions, which will merge into a big final performance in the format of “Playing Together!”, a unified mosaic of stage phenomena of one play. It is planned that the artists will interact with each other in their native languages without an interpreter.

The participant from Russia, the Institute of Theatre Arts named after People’s Artist of the USSR Joseph Kobzon, will present a performance based on Pushkin’s work “A Tale About a Fisherman and a Fish”. The university has been the organiser of the event since 2017.
