Prime Minister Narendra Modi opens new Nalanda University campus

India is increasing the number of students and professors

Nalanda University pays special attention to the study of Buddhism, history, and language. At the same time, the educational institution is also expanding modern areas of study, such as management and international relations. This is reported by
ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.

The new Nalanda campus has two academic buildings with 40 classrooms, with a total capacity of about 1,900 people, an international centre, an amphitheatre, a faculty club, and a sports complex.

The campus is an environmentally friendly campus with zero pollution. It is self-sustaining thanks to solar installations, domestic and drinking water treatment plants, a wastewater recycling plant, 100 acres of water bodies, and many other environmentally friendly facilities.

The university is conceived as a collaboration between India and the countries of the East Asian Summit (EAS).
