One of the most famous Chinese paintings is digitised

The exhibition will run until 15 September

A digitised and animated version of one of China’s most famous paintings, “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”, is on display at a multimedia exhibition in Taipei.

Modern technology allows viewers to immerse themselves in the life of a Chinese city more than 900 years ago. This is reported by
Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

The original painting, a scroll from the famous Song Dynasty artist Zhang Zeduan, depicts the capital city of Bianliang. The animation shows 1,068 moving figures, trees, horses and donkeys.

The organisers of the exhibition hope it will help local people, especially young people, learn more about Chinese culture.
