Nicaragua and Russia reviewed drafts of the bilateral agenda
Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and members of the visiting Nicaraguan government delegation reviewed programmes and projects on the bilateral agenda in areas such as health and security.
During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed mutual support in all areas.
They also noted the importance of interaction between the parliaments of Nicaragua and Russia to promote co-operation within the framework of the Russian-Nicaraguan Interparliamentary Commission established in October this year.
The two sides also recognised the strength of the historic fraternal relations between Moscow and Managua under the leadership of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Daniel Ortega, as well as Vice President Rosario Murillo. This is reported by

The Nicaraguan delegation was headed by Laureano Ortega, special representative of the President of the Republic of Nicaragua on the development of relations with Russia.
According to the Chairman of the State Duma, economic cooperation is actively developing: at the end of 2023, the volume of trade turnover between Russia and Nicaragua increased by 54 per cent.
