Narendra Modi unveils India’s potential in semiconductor manufacturing
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended Semicon India 2024, an international exhibition on semiconductor manufacturing, in Greater Noida. This is reported by IANS, a partner of TV BRICS.
The prime minister toured the expo and held a meeting with leading industry representatives.
Narendra Modi said India today has all the conditions to realise projects in this sector. He urged international companies to invest in manufacturing in the country.
The Prime Minister added that 113 universities and research centres are training 85,000 professionals in semiconductor design and manufacturing. Moreover, India’s human resource potential in this industry is 20 per cent of the world’s.
He also mentioned the creation of a special fund to finance necessary scientific works, promising developments, including at the level of the private sector.
