Narendra Modi names key sectors of India’s economy

He believes they will be the engines of the country’s future economic growth

Addressing the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi identified textiles, tourism, and technology as the key sectors that will drive India’s future economic growth. This is reported by
ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.

He emphasised that it is these three sectors that will play a crucial role in the country’s development by creating millions of new jobs. Modi noted that India is the second largest cotton producer in the world and Madhya Pradesh is known as the “cotton capital”, providing 25 per cent of all organic cotton in India.

Discussing the industrial expansion of the state, the Prime Minister said the presence of over 300 industrial estates and development of large-scale investment zones in Pithampur, Ratlam and Devas created huge opportunities for investors.

He emphasised the rapid growth of India’s infrastructure and energy sector over the last decade, with increased investment in both renewable and conventional energy sources, strengthening the country’s energy potential.
