Malema urges new Tshwane Mayor to ensure equal provision of services

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has called on the newly elected Tshwane Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya, to ensure that there is an equal provision of services in the city.

Moya secured her position with 122 votes, surpassing former Mayor Cilliers Brink, who garnered 86 votes after being ousted through a motion of no confidence.

Briefing the media in Johannesburg, Malema said Brink only prioritised providing services in white populated areas and neglected black populated areas.

Malema says he welcomes Moya’s appointment.

“The people of Hammanskraal, Soshanguve, Atteridgeville, Mamelodi and Ga-Rankuwa have been neglected left to live alongside dumpsites without clean and dependable water, while white suburbs were given maximum attention. Many of the suburbs dominated by white people are well maintained with working streetlights, painted roads and road signs that are well maintained. We call on the newly elected mayor to hit the ground running and delivery services to all the people of the City of Tshwane.”
