Lula da Silva to attend BRICS summit in Kazan
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva met in the Brazilian capital. In the social network Lula da Silva told what topics they discussed with the Russian diplomat. This is reported by

During the conversation, Lavrov congratulated the Brazilian president on the organisation of the meeting of foreign ministers in Rio de Janeiro and conveyed Vladimir Putin’s message of support for Brazil’s G20 presidency.
Lula thanked the Russian president and said he would attend the BRICS summit in Kazan. He reiterated the importance of global governance to address issues such as artificial intelligence and climate change.
Brazilian President also noted the need to improve financing mechanisms for developing countries.
Earlier at the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting, Lavrov emphasised that Russia intends to promote the development of ties between the G20 and BRICS in every possible way.
“This year Russia is chairing BRICS. We will do our best to strengthen the alliance’s potential and its ties with the G20”

The next summit of the association will be held in October 2024 in Kazan. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi earlier also
confirmed his participation in the event.
