Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva: Brazil to become global leader in green economy

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva attended the opening of the 6th Brazilian Investment Forum at the Itamaraty Palace in Brasilia

The president of Brazil Lula da Silva in his speech, reinforced the country’s efforts for political, social and financial stability and emphasised the government’s intention to attract resources for projects related to the green economy to turn the country into a world power in the field of clean energy. This is reported by
Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.

“We are not going to subsidise, we are going to encourage and say that, if it depends on the will of our government, whoever wants to invest in the production of green cars, green steel, green bicycles, green motorbikes, green meat, there will be ‘no need to look.’ There is a place called Brazil where nature guarantees us competitiveness, sun, water and the opportunity to become the largest producer of clean and renewable energy on planet Earth,” said the President.

According to the president, the results that these investments can bring in the future depend mainly on the correct use of resources and planning on the part of the business class. The challenge for the government, says Lula, is to create the necessary conditions for good results.
