Kazakhstan to launch 190 new projects in the manufacturing industry

The measures are expected to boost industrial growth, create new jobs and improve the competitiveness of the country’s economic sectors

In Kazakhstan this year will be given the start of 190 projects in the manufacturing industry, the total cost of which is estimated at 1.5 trillion tenge (about US$3 billion). This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan Yersaiyn Nagaspayev.

According to the Minister, the implementation of these projects is aimed at ensuring the stable development of the manufacturing industry. This is reported by

The projects will be financed by attracting private investment, as well as funds from banks. Currently, the issue of financing projects worth more than 1.1 trillion tenge (more than US$2.22 billion) is being worked out.

According to Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, about 109 billion tenge (about US$218 million) will be needed to upgrade public transport and special vehicles. This will allow to supply about 900 new buses and more than 800 units of special vehicles for emergency and municipal services in the next two years.
