Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism confirms 2025 goals

The ministry’s key goals for 2025 include tourism’s contribution to Indonesia’s GDP at 4.6 per cent

Country’s Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana reaffirmed confidence in achieving tourism prices by 2025, during a working meeting with representatives of the Indonesian House of Representatives. This is reported by
Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

The ministry’s key targets for 2025 include tourism’s contribution to Indonesia’s GDP at 4.6 per cent, foreign exchange earnings of US$22.1 billion and attracting between 14.6 million and 16 million foreign tourists. 

The national government plans to make 1.08 billion tourist trips and employ 25.8 million people in the tourism sector. The country’s ministry intends to find innovative solutions to achieve its goals.

Earlier it was reported that the development of gastronomic tourism becomes one of the priority strategies to attract foreign travellers to Indonesia.
