Indian official praises UAE’s achievements in artificial intelligence
Kaustubh Dhavse, Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Government of India, has lauded the UAE’s achievements in artificial intelligence (AI) on the sidelines of the Dubai AI Festival.

“What the UAE is doing is exceptional. It has succeeded in designing a flexible legislative framework that encourages innovation,” he noted.
Dhavse also said that his visit to the UAE was aimed at exploring opportunities for cooperation between the Maharashtra state government and the festival participants. The state, which is one of India’s leaders in AI adoption, is keen to learn from global best practices and forge meaningful partnerships.
“We are currently exploring new partnerships, intergovernmental cooperation agreements, and joint initiatives in training and skills development,” Dhavse said, expressing optimism that new agreements or partnerships would be forged during the event.
