India emphasises importance of BRICS cultural and language exchange
As part of an event aimed at deepening relations between India and Russia and promoting cultural understanding, Elena Remizova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India, delivered a keynote lecture at Amity University on “BRICS Perspectives: Understanding Russia through Language and Heritage”.
She explored the role of language and cultural heritage in strengthening diplomatic ties, particularly focusing on Russia’s growing role in BRICS. She noted that language plays a key role in building a common understanding and strengthening partnerships between member countries.
Ekaterina Dynyak, Head of the Russian Language Institute at the Russian House in New Delhi, spoke about the history and richness of the Russian language, describing Russia’s diverse cultural landscape. Her presentation generated interest among students and faculty.
The visit also included a productive meeting with BRICS University Centre, where agreements were reached to further strengthen ties with Russian universities. This is reported by
