Homeopathic Association of South Africa pushes for integration of homeopathy into country’s primary health care system

This could significantly increase access to treatment and reduce the burden on public health facilities

Bianca De Canha, President of the HSA, stressed the importance of getting the scope of practice right as it regulates homeopaths in the country. This is reported by
Pretoria News, a partner of TV BRICS.

The HSA has voiced support for the recognition of homeopathic treatments and called for proper regulation and scheduling to ensure safe use in South Africa.

The proposed draft guidelines are intended to promote the safe and effective use of homeopathic treatments and medicines in the country. The HSA is pushing for the inclusion of their recommendations to bring South Africa in line with other successful BRICS countries.

The HSA statement emphasises the need to increase access to homeopathy in the South African health system to ensure optimal patient care.
