The event was held in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang, as reported by

CCP provincial representative Xu Qin said: “Industrial innovation should be wholeheartedly supported; outline promising paths, areas of scientific, technological and industrial development. The development of critical industries, such as digitalisation, biology, ice and snow, creative design, aviation and space, intelligent equipment and so on, should be intensively promoted. We need to focus on improving the ‘five beginnings and five ends’ industrial chain; and push forward the development and implementation of an avant-garde, environmentally friendly and safe modern industrial system.”

The Party functionary said that there is an urgent need for innovation in the province, and the province should adopt multi-platform development, including the preferences of the Harbin-Daqing-Qiqihar independent innovation demonstration zone. We need to stick to the outlined development strategies of the region and the country, strengthen innovation cooperation with “Belt and Road” countries, and develop a high-level joint research and exhibition platform “to contribute to the country’s innovation through regional innovation”.
