Forum on strengthening food industry is held in Ethiopia
The forum on “Sustainable Business Growth and Improved Resilience in a Supportive Food Processing Ecosystem” was held in Addis Ababa.
Supported by the Ministry of Industry, policies and strategies have been developed to strengthen the food industry. This is aimed at creating a sustainable ecosystem that promotes the production of safe and nutritious food. This is reported by

Currently, more than 1,600 food processing industries play an important role in the production and distribution of safe products, job creation and import substitution. Contrary to the sector’s difficulties, the government is taking steps to create a sustainable ecosystem for the food industry.
Deputy Chief of Party Alliance for Inclusive Nutritious Food Processing (AINFP), Angela Mulaisho said that the Alliance has recorded amazing results and supported over 52 food processing companies in Ethiopia over the last six years.
Through this partnership, nutritious food production is increasing and new business growth opportunities are being created in the sector.
