Foreign Ministers of China and Tajikistan meet to discuss development plans
The countries now expanding cooperation
Wang Yi, Chinese Foreign Minister, met with Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Tajikistan Minister of Foreign Affairs. This was reported by
Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
Minister Wang Yi emphasised that China is prepared to take all necessary steps to assist Tajikistan in quickening the industrialization process and raising the country’s degree of social and economic development.
China also stated that it is eager to collaborate with Tajikistan to develop new areas of cooperation, such as the green transition and new energy sources, as well as to encourage collaboration in the sphere of mineral resources and further trade expansion.
According to Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Tajikistan places a high value on cooperation and communication with China. He also pledged to provide a welcoming atmosphere for Chinese businesses operating in the Tajikistan market.
Over 50 per cent more trade was conducted bilaterally between China and Tajikistan in the previous year.
The parties expressed their readiness to discuss new measures to further increase the scale of trade and expand cooperation in the field of agriculture.
The countries will accelerate the implementation of significant interconnection initiatives, such as the building of crucial highway segments connecting the two nations and the opening of additional direct air connections.
China is to explore the possibility of importing further superior Tajikistan agricultural commodities.
