Five provinces work together to welcome a fruitful harvest
A media group will travel to different areas of Jilin Province and witness the practice of protecting black soil
The 6th Chinese Farmers’ Harvest Festival officially kicks off on 23 September. Under the leadership of the Internet Communications Bureau of China’s Central Cyberspace Administration, the provincial cybersecurity administrations of Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Henan, Sichuan and others have jointly organised the festival.
Jilin Province Internet Media (Jilin News Portal of China) is the media co-organiser of the event. Key media outlets from different regions of China, supported by the China Internet Development Foundation, will join the large-scale online promotion of the festival with the general theme “fragrant rice flowers speak of a good harvest”.
From 23 to 28 September, more than 50 editorial staff from media outlets, major commercial platforms and famous bloggers from all over the country will form a media group, as reported by
Rainbow of China, a partner of TV BRICS.
They will travel to different areas of Jilin Province and witness the practice of protecting black soil and reviving granaries, observe the rice harvesting process, learn about the province’s achievements in agricultural development and ecology, and participate in the harvesting of fruits and vegetables themselves and share the joy of the harvest with farmers and friends.
During the event, participants of the media group will create reports from the field in different formats – videos, photos, banners, interactive photos and so on – and share them on social media platforms. The online and offline modes will comprehensively showcase the harvest picture of Jilin, the breadbasket of the great country.
