Ethiopia’s pharmaceutical sector generates US$1.5 billion per year in revenue
Ethiopia’s Minister of Health has emphasised the investment potential of the country’s pharmaceutical sector
According to Ethiopia’s Health Minister, Mekdes Daba, the country’s pharmaceutical industry can generate more than US$1.5 billion per year for investors. This is reported by
Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC), a partner of TV BRICS.
The government has identified six priority areas for health development, which include improving the quality of health services, developing advanced diagnostic services, increasing the production of health products, and training health professionals. This also includes improving emergency medical services and promoting innovation in medical technology.
The Minister also emphasised the measures taken to attract investors, including the creation of a favourable investment climate and the introduction of transparent and comprehensive regulation.
