Ethiopia’s Ambassador to India, Demeke Atnafu, highlighted the significant surge in digital growth in Africa, transforming various aspects of its socio-economic landscape. He mentioned this at the International Conference on Digital Growth in Africa. This is reported by

Regarding Ethiopia, Ambassador Demeke stressed that since Ethiopia’s economy is fast-growing, digitalisation is at the heart of everything in Ethiopia, for example, in agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and services.

In 2020, Ethiopia initiated Digital Ethiopia 2025, a strategy aimed at using digital technologies to promote inclusive national prosperity by accelerating economic growth, improving public services, and promoting social development.

Ambassador Demeke also stressed that by strengthening relations between Africa and India, we can create a future in which both regions will flourish in the digital age.
