The President of the Oromia region, Shimelis Abdisa, announced the launch of a project to build a 150-kilometre modern road connecting all suburbs within the newly established administration of the city of Sheger. This is reported by

The mayor of the city administration and other senior government officials attended the opening ceremony, which took place in Kurajida Sub-City.

Officials announced that the goal of the project is to link together all the suburbs of the city administration of Sheger.

The cost of the first stage of construction of the road with a total length of 38.5 km will be more than US$78.51 million.
