It shows progress in promoting sustainable development and good governance in various sectors
The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of Egypt’s Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, published its 2023 activity report, which shows significant progress in promoting sustainable development and good governance in various sectors.
Hala El-Sayed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chair of NIGSD’s Board of Trustees, highlighted the institute’s commitment to strengthening Egypt’s position in these areas in line with Vision 2030. This is reported by
Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
NIGSD actively promotes youth empowerment through programmes such as the Egyptian Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which has trained over 300 people and held workshops on marketing and e-commerce. In collaboration with UNICEF, the Wa’tna platform was launched to educate youth on sustainable development and climate change.
The institute made strides in public services by improving Egypt’s service centres and upgrading health and real estate offices. NIGSD also conducted training programmes for African officials on governance and sustainable development, contributing to progress in these areas across the continent.
