Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation holds meetings with ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and UAE

The conversation focused on deepening economic cooperation 

Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, met on Monday with the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini and the UAE Mariam Khalifa Al-Kaabi. 

The meetings discussed strengthening bilateral economic relations and creating a more favourable environment to attract investments. This is reported by

Al-Mashat highlighted the long-standing friendship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, stressing the importance of the Saudi Fund for Development’s support, which helps realise the country’s ongoing major projects in various sectors, including health and education. Important projects include the development of universities and medical institutions, as well as the establishment of infrastructural facilities.

The conversation with UAE Ambassador to Egypt Mariam Khalifa Al-Kaabi also focused on the strong historical ties and co-operation between the two countries, as well as the launch of the Integrated Industrial partnership focusing on development in key sectors such as agriculture and pharmaceuticals.

Al-Mashat assured of the government’s intentions to enhance the attraction of foreign investments and develop the green economy, emphasising the importance of the ongoing cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, which has been contributing to the implementation of priority projects in Egypt for several decades.
