Egyptian ministers Meet with President El-Sisi to support the state’s goal of strengthening the country’s industry
The outcome of their meeting is a proposal to integrate finance into the transport system
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on 22 April met with the Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, as well as with the Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala Helmy El-Said, and the Transport Minister of Egypt Kamel al-Wazir. This was reported by the

The source informed that the meeting reviewed the latest developments in government initiatives to localize transport companies in Egypt through partnerships and assessed the status of the investment plan for projects in the transport sector.
President El-Sisi was briefed on the development of the country’s railway system, the reconstruction and expansion of the metro lines of the Greater Cairo and initiatives to build, modernize and operate ports throughout the country in cooperation with several foreign enterprises.
The President instructed to accelerate the construction and development of maritime, land and dry ports, as well as logistics zones, with the ultimate aim of turning Egypt into a regional hub of transit and transport industries, in order to facilitate transit trade and increase Egyptian exports.
As a result, inhabitants of Egypt will have greater employment opportunities, followed by large-scale social and economic development programmes.
In order to take advantage of the infrastructure that has been built and modernized in several sectors throughout the republic, and to support the state’s goal of strengthening the country’s industry in the production areas, President El-Sisi ordered efforts to improve the localization of Egyptian industry into the transport sector and increase the share of the local component.
