Egyptian authorities to continue to improve taxation system

This is how they plan to attract more investments into the country

Egypt’s tax policy plays a crucial role in attracting investment to the country, recognised by the Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), Rasha Abdel Aal, speaking at a profile seminar. He emphasised the authorities’ keenness to liaise with the business community.

The official pointed out that over the past years, the government has been actively working on optimising the tax system, implementing various projects and initiatives to simplify fees and stimulate the investment environment. This is reported by

Sayed Sakr, Deputy Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority affirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Authority to address the challenges faced by Egyptian citizens and entrepreneurs. He noted that detailed plans are being drawn up to ensure transparency in tax transactions.

Sakr revealed that his directorate will continue working on the digital transformation of the sector, which started in 2018. He added that in the future, e-auditing will play a key role in reducing arbitrary assessments and streamlining processes for taxpayers.
