Egypt reviews results of human development project

This project aims to improve investment in human capital

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to discuss key aspects of the National Human Development Project “Bedaya – A New Beginning for Human Building”.

This project aims to improve investment in human capital through a comprehensive programme focusing on human development and strengthening Egyptian identity. Among its initiatives are health, education, culture, sports and job creation, which combine the efforts of government institutions, civil and private sectors.

President Al-Sisi directed to speed up the completion of 30 hospitals and 500 medical units in the provinces of the second phase of comprehensive health insurance. This is reported by
Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

The meeting also discussed the government’s efforts to attract investment in healthcare by providing package incentives for partnerships with the private sector and establishing control measures to ensure the development of existing and new facilities.

Additionally, emphasis was placed on localising the pharmaceutical industry and encouraging investment in the production of pharmaceutical and medical supplies, especially in the face of international crises affecting supply chains. These measures aim to ensure the continued availability of quality and affordable medicines in the local market.
