Egypt proposes initiatives to develop the nursing sector
Egyptian Minister of Health and Population stressed the essential role of nurses
Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, emphasised the state’s dedication to creating a plan for the growth of the nursing profession. This duty includes providing medical staff with training and support so they can be fully integrated into the state’s initiatives to safeguard citizens’ health. This was reported by

The minister emphasised that artificial intelligence cannot replicate the care given by nurses.
According to the source, Egyptian officials have created equitable plans for the distribution of new jobs in nursing agencies in order to preserve nursing services. Additionally, the Egyptian Ministry said that six more nursing schools would open in 2023.
Furthermore, incentive packages that include greater risk allowances for healthcare workers and compensation for night shifts have been implemented for nursing staff.
The significance of comprehensive programmes to enhance nursing efficacy and develop the skills of nursing staff was emphasised by Minister Abdel Ghaffar.
The educational sector has already started a number of initiatives, such as offering specialised nursing scholarships, adding more diplomas, and increasing the number of students enrolled in the Department of Nursing’s technical health institutes.
