Egypt has emerged as the top African country in fixed internet speed, a milestone attributed to the government’s ongoing digital transformation and infrastructure development, according to Abdel Wahab Ghoneim, Vice Chairman of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy.
Ghoneim highlighted the growing impact of digitalisation on the global economy, noting that the worldwide digital economy has now reached a value of US$55 trillion.
