Egypt and Bahrain explore new horizons in renewable energy cooperation

Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat met with Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal to explore ways to enhance cooperation and investment in the energy sector. This is reported by

During the meeting, Esmat noted that relations between the two countries serve as an ideal model for constructive cooperation between Arab countries, contributing to joint Arab efforts and benefiting the peoples of the region.
The Egyptian official outlined the investment opportunities available in this sector and underlined the government’s support for private sector participation in clean energy projects.
The minister affirmed that the Egyptian government prioritises electricity, which determines the development of all economic and social sectors. He also pointed out that Egypt is rich in natural resources, especially wind and solar energy.
For her part, Zainal affirmed the strong and fraternal ties between the two nations, stressing the importance of continued collaboration and coordination to enhance integration between Bahrain and Egypt.
