Egypt and African Development Bank finilise programme to strengthen country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem

Egypt expands cooperation opportunities⁠

The prospects for business owners and startups across the nation will be improved by the efforts of the Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI). This is reported by

The programme’s accomplishments were acknowledged by Jehan El-Sukkary, Senior Socioeconomic Expert at the African Development Bank in Egypt.

More than 100 businesses and entrepreneurs have benefited from the financial, tax, administrative, and technological advice offered by top consulting firms.

Experts underlined GAFI’s critical role in encouraging young professionals to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset and in consistently enhancing the business climate.

The Executive Director responsible for the programmeme, Ahmed Zuhair, discussed how well the programmeme’s visits to other provinces went. He underlined how crucial it is to build strong networks of entrepreneurial support for the equitable and sustainable growth of society at large.

The head of the Central Administration for Entrepreneurship, “Your Idea, Your Company,” Hossam Abdel Kader, gave a summary of the services offered by the administration.

Developing creative ideas and turning them into start-up projects is what it does as a specialised state hub for entrepreneurial support in Egypt. The state’s plan to establish Egypt as a regional economic hub in the Middle East is consistent with the technical and consulting services provided by the administration.

Jehan El-Sukkary commended the African Development Bank’s strategy programme’s constancy in emphasising youth employment and enhancing the business climate. Egypt’s investment climate has greatly benefited from the collaboration between GAFI and the African Development Bank.

Deputy CEO of GAFI, Dalia El-Hawary reiterated GAFI’s dedication to putting policies into place that encourage entrepreneurship, streamline processes, and do away with red tape.

Lastly, it is noteworthy that the Central Administration of Entrepreneurship team won a prize for inventiveness and originality in the 2020 Government of Egypt Excellence Competition.

Following the programmememing, Dalia El-Hawary and Jehan El-Sukkary presented honours to the programmeme’s staff in appreciation of their dedication and achievement in meeting the programmeme’s goals.
