The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Limpopo will march today to the Office of Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, demanding immediate action on the severe water shortages in Polokwane.
The EFF also plans to raise issues regarding high electricity costs and high unemployment rates in the province.
EFF Limpopo Chairperson Lawrence Mapoulo criticized the situation, stating, “Polokwane Municipality has collapsed, in terms of water, it is a catastrophic matter. As we speak right now, there’s no water. Toilets are not working and when they deliver the water through their water tankers, really our people are going to die, because the kind of water the municipality is delivering to our people is filthy.”
