Political analyst, Levy Ndou says the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) seem to have drawn lessons from the mishaps of other political parties.
He was reacting to EFF re-elected leader Julius Malema at the party’s third National People’s Assembly at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto, Johannesburg.
In his closing remarks, Malema called on the newly- elected EFF leadership to avoid factionalism and engaging in conduct that would embarrass the party.
Ndou says the EFF is determined to avoid pitfalls that could lead to disastrous consequences.
He says, “The leader of the EFF, according to the speech by the CIC, is that such leaders are supposed to be different from the rest. But very importantly, he cautioned members of the EFF about issues that relate to factionalism and it appears as if indeed, what they’ve observed from other political parties, and in the main from the ANC, is the one that is the source of many challenges in that party, and that is why Mr Malema, has to caution the members of his party about issues relating to factionalism.”
